How can I be involved in community engagement?

Community engagement is an ongoing process, not limited to one particular exhibition. In fact, exhibition is often the final part of an engagement process. If you would like to be involved on a regular basis, you can:

  • register here on Your Say Penrith
  • keep an eye out for notices of exhibition in the local papers and on Council's website
  • look for neighbourhood specific activities and forums - these may be advertised through local businesses, letterbox drops, noticeboards or other neighbourhood groups
  • contact Council and tell us your particular areas of interest, so we can contact you as opportunities for engagement arise.

Engagement takes many different forms. Sometimes it's a formal process, like an exhibition or ongoing membership of a committee. It may be a single, large event, like the Futures Forum, or a series of small focus groups or meetings. Engagement can also be informal - a community event or gathering where you can talk to someone from Council about what is important to you.
