Consultation has concluded
Council recently exhibited a Planning Proposal that seeks to amend Penrith Local Environmental Plan 2010 to resolve several policy changes, contemporise certain elements and undertake minor “housekeeping” changes. These matters have been consolidated as a single set of proposed changes, known as an “Annual Update Amendment”.
The process that Council must follow to consider the proposal is known as the Gateway Process, which requires the public exhibition of a Planning Proposal. A Planning Proposal is a document that explains and justifies the proposed changes to local environmental plans.
Council invited the public to comment on the proposed changes when the Planning Proposal and supporting information was publicly exhibited from 15 April to 27 May 2019.
The public exhibition has finished and the deadline for written submissions has passed. Council is currently reviewing submissions and persons who have made a submission will be notified prior to this meeting. The results of the public exhibition will be reported to the elected Council for its consideration in the coming months.
