Community Strategic Plan Review 2024

Council is reviewing our Community Strategic Plan (CSP) to ensure our vision for the future of Penrith still suits the community. The CSP is the roadmap which Council uses as an overarching guide to shape Penrith into the City you want to live in – it’s how community vision is translated into action by Council.

Over the coming months we will seek to hear your ideas and priorities, hear what you love about our City and want to see more of, and the opportunities you believe will make Penrith even better. Those who complete the survey below can go in the draw to win one of x2 $250 vouchers!

Background

During 2019- 2021, Council developed its Community Strategic Plan (CSP). This is an important strategic document which outlines our community’s vision for Penrith and identifies key social, economic and environmental priorities, as well as strategies to help us achieve them.

During this time we conducted face-to-face surveys, online surveys and also online focus groups. Our conversations with the community told us that safe and efficient roads, affordable housing, access to services, local jobs and the environment are some of the important topics to focus on. The final version of the plan was shared with the community for review and then formally adopted in 2022.

We know that our community is passionate about Penrith’s future and has valuable ideas and thoughts about how we can create a positive, productive, sustainable and liveable City.

So this year, we'll again talk with residents and asking them important questions to help us ensure the Plan we developed still suits the community. Thank you to everyone who has participated in our engagement activities so far and for helping shape a positive future for Penrith.
