COVID-19 UPDATE

Due to the fast-changing environment our community is experiencing as a result of COVID-19, Council has suspended engagement of its 12-year Community Plan for approximately 4 weeks. An assessment will be made at the end of this period to determine if engagement can recommence.

During this time, we hope that things will settle and that by 1 May, our community members will be in a position to collaborate and engage on this very important strategy for our City's future.

Engagement is a critical part of ensuring our strategies and plans meet the expectations of our community. We understand that with so many changes occurring at once it could be difficult for people to participate. The suspension of engagement at this time is to ensure everyone can have the opportunity to have their say.

We will inform the community when the engagement is recommenced, in the interim, our online survey will remain open for those wanting to participate.

If there are queries from community members about participation in this program please direct them to our customer service team on 4732 7777.

For any other queries, please contact corporate planning on corporateplanning@penrith.city.

Help us plan how we can best respond to our community’s needs in the coming years. Tell us what is important to you and share your experiences in Penrith today!

Western Sydney is growing, and like most communities the people of Penrith are experiencing change. We want to work with you to help make sure we are in the best position to take advantage of the opportunities that change will bring for our City.

Council is listening to the community to prepare our 12-year Community Strategic Plan (CSP). While 2033 may seem a long time away, we need to plan now to make sure we continue to sustainably support community life in Penrith into the future. The CSP will become the ‘ultimate road map’, guiding how we anticipate and act on the issues that need longer term solutions.

Let’s work together to try to address the challenges of today and take advantage of the opportunities of tomorrow. You can join the conversation by:

Not all change can happen at once, but by joining the conversation you will help inform how we prioritise our activities over the next 12 years so we can work together to address the challenges of today while avoiding the challenges of tomorrow.

Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of the early conversations that will inform how Penrith changes in the coming years - have your say here!
