Penrith CBD Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan

Council has adopted the Penrith CBD Catchment Overland Flow Flood Study and is now developing the Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan.

We sought input from residents and businesses in the study area from 1-31 May 2018 to help us create an effective plan. Thank you to everyone who took this opportunity to share their ideas and experiences. We will update this page when we have reviewed the information received and will consult further about selected mitigation options that we identify.

The study covers about 3.4km², located on the southern side of the railway line and generally bounded by The Northern Road in the east, Jamison Road in the south and Mulgoa Road in the west.

The study and plan are being prepared by consultants Molino Stewart on Council’s behalf.
