Share your ideas for the future and help create a better Penrith for young people.

Young people with a connection to Penrith are being asked to share their thoughts and views about Penrith and their future, in a new online survey.

The survey aims to help Council better understand the needs, wants and aspirations of young people who live, work, study or socialise in Penrith and will inform the development of the Youth Action Plan 2020-2025.

The Youth Action Plan (2020-2025) will set the direction for Council over the next five years; guiding program and service delivery for young people in the Penrith LGA, to help improve their lives now and into the future.

The survey is quick and easy to complete, and all responses will be kept confidential. The survey is open for four weeks, from Monday 4 May 2020 to Monday 1 June 2020.

Complete the survey before 1 June 2020 and you will go in the draw to win one of 15 vouchers to a local business in Penrith (valued at $50 each). Winners will be chosen at random and contacted by Council on or before 9 June.

    Youth Survey 2020

    Are you a young person aged between 12 and 25? Do you live, work, study or socialise in the Penrith area? Penrith City Council wants to hear from you so we can better understand your thoughts, ideas and hopes as a young person living in our City. 

    We invite you to fill out this quick, confidential survey. Your answers will help us create the Youth Action Plan 2020-25 (YAP20-25) which will address the needs, thoughts and aspirations of young people in Penrith and outline a series of responsive and innovative actions. 

    So, what’s in it for you? In addition to providing valuable input which will help create a better future for young people in Penrith, you will also go into the draw to win one of 15 x $50 vouchers to spend at a local business in Penrith.

    COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS 

    • By entering the competition, entrants agree to the following terms and conditions. 
    • Employees of Penrith City Council are excluded from entering the competition 
    • Entries open at 09:00AM AEST 4th May 2020 and close 05:00PM AEST 1st June 2020 
    • There are a total of 15 prizes. The winning entries will be chosen at random by a Council representative on 8 June 2020. Prizes are limited to one per entrant. 
    • Council will notify the winning entrant by 9 June 2020 by email or mobile. The Council is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered by any entrant or winner as a result of the competition or use of prizes, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law 
    • Council will determine if nominated small businesses are eligible to be part of this competition 
    • Council in no way sponsors or endorses the suppliers of prizes. 

    From a legal perspective, the draw is a 'gratuitous lottery' regulated by the Lotteries and Art Unions Act 1901. In the competition we can't: 

    a.   Promote trade or business; 

    b.   Charge an entry or participating fee; 

    c.   Offer monetary prizes; or 

    d.   Offer prizes with a combined value exceeding $30,000. KEY DATES Survey open 4 May to 1 June 2020
